A short guide to Debrecen for visitors

Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary and the capital of Hajdu-Bihar county. The city lies on the great plains called Alfold, in the Eastern part of the country, approximately 30 km (18.6 miles) away from the Romanian border and about 225 km (140  miles) from Budapest.
